Best Frequently Asked Questions About Lima Food Tour

Here some frequently asked question about Peruvian Food Tour

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, we highly recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance. Our groups are small (max 12 guests) and fill up quickly, especially during the peak season (December–April).

Is hotel pickup included?

We provide round-trip transportation for most hotels and Airbnbs in Miraflores, San Isidro, and Barranco. If you are staying outside these areas, we will coordinate a convenient central meeting point.

What is your cancellation policy?

We offer a 100% refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the tour start time.

Is the food spicy?

Peruvian food is known for its flavor, not necessarily heat. While we use various ají (peppers), most dishes are mild. Spicy sauces are almost always served on the side so you can control the heat.

Can you accommodate vegetarians or food allergies?

Absolutely. We can adapt the menu for vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten or nut allergies. Please let us know your specific requirements when booking

Is the water safe to drink?

In Peru, it is not recommended to drink tap water. We provide bottled water throughout the tour, and all the restaurants we visit use purified water for ice and food preparation.

How much food is included?

A lot! We recommend eating only a very light snack before the tour. Between the market tastings and the sit-down lunch, most guests find they do not need to eat again until late evening.

What should I wear?

Lima is a walking-friendly city, so comfortable walking shoes are a must. In winter (May–November), bring a light jacket for the coastal mist. In summer, don't forget your sunglasses and sunscreen

Is the tour suitable for children?

Yes! Our tour is family-friendly. Children love the exotic fruit tastings and the interactive nature of the cooking classes. We offer discounted rates for kids under 12.
