Miraflores, San Isidro, Huaca Pucllana, Main Plaza
We begin our journey in the high-end districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. You’ll get a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, a massive 1,500-year-old adobe pyramid that stands in stark contrast to the surrounding modern skyscrapers. Afterward, we drive through the serene El Olivar Forest, where over 1,500 olive trees have stood since they were brought from Spain in the 17th century.
Next, we head to the heart of old Lima. We’ll walk through the Plaza de Armas (Main Square) to admire the colonial architecture and, if timing permits, witness the majestic Changing of the Guard at the Government Palace. The highlight of this section is a guided exploration of the San Francisco Convent, where you will descend into the famous underground Catacombs—the city's first cemetery.
We conclude the tour by returning to the coast for a stop at the iconic Parque del Amor (Love Park). Here, you can photograph the famous "El Beso" sculpture while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from the Malecon cliffs. It is the perfect spot for a final group photo before we drop you back at your hotel.

Frequestly Asked Questions
What time does the tour start and how long is it?
We offer two daily departures: the Morning Tour (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) and the Afternoon Tour (2:00 PM – 6:00 PM). The total duration is approximately 4 hours.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes! We provide door-to-door pickup and drop-off for hotels and Airbnbs located in Miraflores and San Isidro. For other areas, we coordinate a central meeting point.
Will I see the Changing of the Guard?
The ceremony takes place at 12:00 PM. Our Morning Tour is specifically timed so that we are in the Plaza de Armas to witness this tradition.
Are the Catacombs scary or claustrophobic?
The passages are narrow and the ceilings are low. If you feel uncomfortable, you can opt to wait in the beautiful monastery gardens while the group descends (approx. 30 minutes).
Can I take photos inside the San Francisco Convent?
Photography is strictly prohibited inside the Convent and Catacombs to preserve the site. However, you can take as many photos as you like at the Plaza de Armas and Love Park.
Do we enter the Huaca Pucllana pyramid?
This half-day tour includes a panoramic exterior view from a lookout point, allowing you to see the scale of the site without the 1.5-hour internal walking tour.
Is there much walking involved?
The tour is classified as Easy. It involves approximately 45–60 minutes of walking at a relaxed, conversational pace through the Historic Center.
What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable walking shoes and dressing in layers. The coast (Miraflores) can be misty and cool, while the city center is often warmer and sunnier.
Is the tour safe?
Absolutely. We visit well-regulated tourist areas and use private, air-conditioned transport to ensure a secure and comfortable experience away from public crowds.
Are entrance fees included in the price?
Yes. Your ticket to the San Francisco Convent and Catacombs is fully included. There are no surprise out-of-pocket costs during the tour.
